A bequest is a gift made in a person’s Will. It can include money, shares, real estate or anything else that they would like to pass on when they pass away.
Making provision in your Will to KidsCan will ensure that this important work can continue, and help Kiwi kids learn, feel supported and break the cycle of poverty. To give the gift of hope is a powerful way to change a life, and a wonderful legacy to future generations.
Pecuniary – this gives you the option to gift a specified sum of money to KidsCan in your Will.
Specified bequest – this is where a particular item of value is gifted to KidsCan in your Will (for example stocks and shares, property or works of art).
Residuary – this involves gifting whatever is left over, or a percentage thereof (the residue), from your estate, after all expenses and debts have been settled and your beloved ones are provided for.
It is important to us that your legacy is as you want it, and we encourage you to speak with your solicitor, family, and friends about your wishes.
Your decision to include us in your Will is something we do not take lightly. We know that it is a careful and considered decision and we appreciate the meaning behind it.
